This summer, we hosted a series of impactful community events aimed at enhancing both mental and physical well-being.

  1. “A Walk on the Healthful Side”
Our first event featured a mindful nature walk led by a meditation practitioner, guiding 30 participants in staying present and connected with their surroundings.
  2. “Stretch, Breathe, Pose, Repeat”
Held at John Heinz next to the water, this yoga and sound bath session welcomed 15 attendees, offering a relaxing experience by combining physical activity with soothing sound therapy.
  3. “The Art of Healing”
Our final summer event was a vibrant celebration of creativity and wellness. With activities ranging from painting and drawing to face painting and meditation, we engaged 44 individuals. We also provided essential resources, including mental health information, school supplies, and childcare items.

In total, our summer events reached approximately 89 people and distributed around 150 community resource booklets. These events successfully created safe, engaging spaces where individuals and families could relax, connect, and support their mental and physical health.

Looking ahead, we are excited to announce our plans for next year. We will host 8 new events throughout Southwest and West Philadelphia, offering a range of mental health and physical health activities designed for both children and adults.

For the remainder of this year, we will continue to support the community by distributing our resource booklets at various local events across Southwest and West Philadelphia.

We are committed to fostering a healthier and more connected community through our ongoing efforts and look forward to making an even greater impact in the coming year.
