2025 was a year of growth, collaboration, and community impact for Mobile Holistic Healing Services. Our mission to bring holistic wellness to underserved communities continued through a series of events and partnerships that promoted mindfulness, movement, creativity, and connection.
Meditative Nature Walk
We began the year with our Meditative Nature Walk, held in collaboration with We Walk PHL at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge in Southwest Philadelphia. Guided by a meditation practitioner, participants were encouraged to stay present and mindful, tuning into the sights, sounds, smells, and sensations around them. We also distributed our free Community Resource Books during this event. The walk offered participants an opportunity to nurture both their mental and physical well-being.
Stretch, Breathe, Pose, Repeat 2
Our second event, Stretch, Breathe, Pose, Repeat 2, was also hosted at John Heinz, overlooking the water from the observation deck. This relaxing experience combined yoga and a sound bath, helping participants unwind, recharge, and reconnect with themselves.
The Art of Healing
Our third event, The Art of Healing, was a vibrant celebration of creativity and wellness held at One Art Community Center in West Philadelphia. Attendees enjoyed activities such as painting, drawing, meditation, breathwork, sound healing, and yoga. The event engaged individuals of all ages and also included free distribution of children’s mental health books. Several community-based organizations joined us to provide valuable wellness and support resources to attendees.
Family Yoga
We closed out the summer with a Family Yoga event designed to bring children and families together for a fun, interactive wellness experience. Led by a children’s yoga practitioner, the session incorporated storytelling, music, and dance—creating a joyful, inclusive atmosphere for families to connect through movement.
Community Collaborations
Throughout 2025, we were honored to collaborate with numerous community-based organizations to expand access to wellness programming across Philadelphia. We partnered with the African Family Health Organization (AFAHO) to deliver a Wellness Series at Bartram High School, engaging students in yoga, sound baths, and an art therapy workshop. We hosted three yoga sessions with Change Up Sports, including two sessions at Community of Compassion Community Center for young children and youth, and another for Roberto Clemente Middle School. We also Collaborated with Black Girls Hike Philly for their “Stitch and Stretch” event, blending crocheting and yoga for a creative and restorative experience. We then partnered with DiasporaDNA Story Center to offer a Therapeutic Arts Workshop during their Philly Festivals Networking Event.
In addition, we shared our Free Community Resource Books at several local events, including the Motivated Community Resource Center Health Fair, the Deeply Rooted Nature and Neighbors: Rooted Together event at Carroll Park and the Young Neighbors Deserve Healing Event at Plant and People.
Looking Ahead
We are deeply grateful for our partners, volunteers, and community members who made these events possible. Together, we continue to advance our mission of making holistic wellness accessible to all, especially in low-income and underserved communities.
